Boiler Room LA 004/ House Shoes, DJ Pound, MNDSGN, Ahnnu, eLan & Ages
This installation of or LA series sees some cats from out of town who are fully in line with the LA sound making a jump over to play for you all on Boiler Room. So let's dissect the line-up and reap the benefits of all it has to offer. Trust us, it'll be good for your soul.
Kicking off with Detroit's House Shoes. Now we can appreciate the shoes you wear in a house as much as anyone, because slippers be damn comfortable. This guy however has nothing to do with slippers, and everything to do with good hip hop. He just dropped his sensational 'Let It Go' album last month and we're hyped to see him play for us fresh off the back of it.
Thank the lord DJ Pound is also going to be in town. It's time to wake up and smell the goodness people because this guy can mix. You have it on our word!
Klipmode crew member and all around top producer MNDSGN is also going to be in the room and displaying some serious talent. If you didn't check his 'No Maps' LP that came out last year than be sure to do so before next Tuesday. It's a real winner!
eLan will also be there to bring some of his incredible flavour to your screens. He's worked with MNDSGN on some stuff before, as you can hear above, and is generally pretty god damn dope.
Originally hailing from Virginia, Ahnnu has produced under the alias Cakedog for Raider Klan artists such as Lil Ugly Mane. Now living in LA, this guy's always at the forefront of a new sound.
Ages just put out a sublime record on Alpha Pup called 'Bryan', and if you listen to it you'll see why we had to get him down to play Boiler Room LA.
