A true king of timbres, John Roberts continues making the earthliest electronic music, to which “Orah” is no exception. The title track from Roberts’ forthcoming EP illustrates his comprehensive style of building percussive samples into unique, beautifully harmonious music – with subtle tastes of the Orient in this particular example. A mesmerising follow-up to the three diverse tracks of last year’s Ausio EP, and one of our favourite albums from 2013, Fences. John Roberts has still got it, and in abundance at that!
