It’s always a pleasure helping a new label launch into the world of shifting music to the masses, as we are today with the first release on Cavalier, a label dedicated to putting “house music and its near relatives” out into the ether.

Their maiden voyage comes in the shape of the Thoughts in Sound EP from Frankfurt’s Koloman Trax. Our pick, “Trig Mix”, sounds like it’s emerging from a remote swamp in the Black Forest, in turn inducing a wild electrical storm galvanised by distorted drum machines and untameable mutant synths.
