Exec produced by Ron Trent and Jonesy, Mother Confessor is the work of artist, writer and producer Jared Hines — and boy, does it half whiff of your favourite Atmosfear record or the alternative disco sounds of Arthur Russell’s Dinosaur L. Any of the EP’s five offerings could have ended up on our page today, but it’s “Mother Confessor”, the gliding opener that wins the ballot this time. Sensuous in all the right places.
