Broadcast Lab is a new grant scheme by Boiler Room to power ideas in the broadcasting space.
The near future remains uncertain - who knows when club nights, performances, concerts and screenings will be able to take place again in physical spaces. We've created this grant to support club culture as the pandemic extends into 2021.
The grant is open to individual musicians as well as music collectives to produce a livestream event. We are looking for proposals that explore the potential of music and online broadcasting, either with a hybrid physical component adhering to local Covid measures, or through an entirely virtual production. We want to see proposals that encourage community, artistic practice and innovation.
Applications will be judged by a panel consisting of Boiler Room staff and four independent curators: Ben UFO, Lil C, Mat Dryhurst & Club Quarantine.
The winning application will be awarded £7,500 to bring the project to life. Boiler Room will provide additional in-kind support and a release on our channels.
