Open Call: Broadcast Lab #2

The winning commission from our first round was THIRD SPACE, a project by Nyege Nyege & KAMVA Collective, involving live collaboration between grime & gqom artists between London & Durban.

For ROUND #2, we're calling for projects that capture the reopening of dancefloors as we tentatively move towards a post-pandemic world. We’re searching for ideas that prioritise local scenes, while pushing the broadcast format forward in innovative ways. We want to see proposals that encourage community, artistic practice and innovation.

Applications will be judged by a panel consisting of Boiler Room staff and five independent curators: Kode9, HALF QUEEN, Nyege Nyege,Eris Drew & TWEAKS.

The winning application will be awarded £6,000 to bring the project to life. Boiler Room will provide additional in-kind support and a release on our channels.
