Four months after SHAKE 001, Mahogani’s Dan Shake returns with his second edits release. The EP showcases two infectiously dance-y gems that have already received support from the likes of Daphni, Gilles Peterson and Soul Clap – an unsurprisingly warm response, given that it’s Mr. Shake. To us, “Northern Merry” was the no-bainer. The synthesised organ’s blues chords of the Mo-town intro plunges you straight in the deep end, with the 4×4 tempo picking straight up before you know it. An instant smile-on-face putter from one of the UK’s fastest rising groove-makers.
