Howling “Signs (Radioslave & Thomas Gandey Remix)”

Ninja Tune’s Counter imprint meets Modeselektor’s Monkeytown to release RY X and Frank Wiedemann’s new project, Howling. Now it’s being remixed by Matt “Radio Slave” Edwards and Thomas “Cagedbaby” Gandey (the latter two also now known as Matom for their more Kosmische output) on an 11 minute deep’n’meaningful dark-club epic. It’s such a big-name pile-up, it was always going to either be lowest common denominator or highest common factor; thankfully, though, it really has given us the best from all involved.

This is one of those magic tunes where you keep thinking nothing’s happening, then suddenly you realise it’s risen up around you to become all-enveloping, and before you know it you’re compelled to take it from the top… and not just once either. This needs a health warning, it’s so addictive.

The release comes as a lead up to Howling’s debut album Sacred Ground which arrives on May 5. Get your hands on it here.
