Our millennial audience is always ‘switched on’; forever ping-ponging between a matrix of social networks, email chains and app ambling. With this in mind, we are clubbing together with Ray-Ban to unplug ourselves from the interwebs, with an event centred on the thrill of falling off the grid. On August 18, we’ll be hosting a very special London party headlined by two DJing gets — the inimitable Jeremy Underground and his idol, the one and only Kerri Chandler. With this event, we’ll be providing an exciting return to classic partying; mobile phones away, brains in dance mode, and a rare opportunity to be 100% in the moment.
In the run-up, house music chieftain Kerri Chandler stripped away the digital gear to take a one-off dip into the world of classical music. Alongside Troy Denari, Kerri reworked his anthemic “The Way It Goes (Track 1)” arranging a live orchestra (and jumping on double bass himself) to recreate the well known classic.
Press play to watch the never-before-seen ploy unravel, including reminders as to why offline can be just as good as (if not, better) at providing moments of unparalleled self-expression.
