As 2012 rolls out, many an artist is approaching music through the eyes of Edgar Allan Poe. In an ongoing attempt to keep dancefloors and itunes libraries rooted in the ‘underworld’ and the ‘afterlife’, Five Easy Pieces have decided to put out this record by Midnight Davis. A slight shift in direction from the label (in our opinion; though admittedly they’ve been quite sumptuously diverse thus far) and an introductionary record to an artist set to put you on your arse.

Mary Anne Hobbs is also a big fan, so if you think we’re a bunch of mugs who aren’t worth taking any notice of then maybe you should just listen to her.
