This recording is part of an ongoing series with DJ and producer Mumdance. Each episode will see an artist, DJ or label owner sit down with Mumdance and discuss their influences and the wider world of music.
For this first instalment Mumdance speaks to Robin Carolan of Tri Angle records to chat through through everything from the label’s influences, to Japanese proto-Grime and working with Björk.
Robin has been running Tri Angle for the past 5 years releasing records from the likes of Rabit, Evian Christ, The Haxan Cloak and Balam Acab. It’s difficult to prove, but it’s probably safe to say that Tri Angle has had a huge influence on independent music worldwide.
