As part of our SYSTEM series, we debuted in Belém - Brazil's gateway to the Amazon River - to showcase a unique expression soundsystem culture at the city's very core, hosted on huge structures known as ‘aparelhagem’.

In the Amplified Roots: Belém documentary, we spoke to the members of the community breathing life into its culture – from the DJs to the carpenters - who dedicate their lives to this quintessentially northern Brazilian cultural expression.
