Ass 4 Sale
Upcoming

Tabita Rezaire’s inventive work explores and resists how colonialism emerges in our digital culture and relationship to technology. The French Guyanese artist, who studied in Paris and St Martins in London, is also part of the African collective NTU aiming to enhance “the intersubjective virtual user” and art duo Malaxa, who aim to challenge the “white supremacist capitalist cis-hetero patriarchal normative visual culture”. In her documentary-like treatise on the appropriation and spread of twerking, 'Ass 4 Sale', rhythm emerges as something physical embodying ideas around sexuality, race and gender. It is also a joy to watch.
