<p>A young woman, manipulated by the malevolent creature growing in her womb, kills her partner and goes into labour.</p> <p>"The mind's fallibility is something that has always terrified me," says William Kennedy. "Our perception of reality is delicately balanced and easily warped. In my experience, good mental health requires constant care and oversight. I wanted to make a film that explores my fear of losing control. I'm also obsessed with body horror. Tying these strands together felt natural."</p>
