Krakow’s electronic music scene today is small yet strong, characterised by a community of DIY promoters and collectives running parties out of intimate venues and basements.

Boiler Room and Ballantine’s visited the picturesque Polish city to gauge how the promoters, artists and venue owners from this community are attempting to help this scene grow. As with any city, Krakow’s DIY club scene is not without its issues, be it lack of dedicated local press, gentrification caused by mass tourism or international focus heavily geared to larger scale events like festivals

What is evident is Krakow’s clubbing community has a determination to work together to help their scene and its many talented artists, producers and DJs grow and develop.
