<p>"I am a never-ending journey of discoveries within and I've seen how it directly reflects into the world and climate that we are living in today. Always searching and always finding. It feels like the end of times and I wanted that to translate through this project rhythmically and lyrically. I want you to feel the depths of emotion, angst, celebration, frustration, and determination. A claim to power in a world that has been systematically built to never allow us (non-white people) to rise. A claim to blackness overall finally coming into the light. A claim to extreme female presence to remind us that through us we will achieve our freedoms. Reminders of our darkness (internally and as a whole), as well as our spiritual connection with magic and dimensions beyond this one. Dimensions some of us have a direct line to. An ode to our ancestors who continue to leave us roadmaps and clues. The presence of nature in the beginning and ending of the mix to remind us of what we are destroying, but also the control that we will never have over mother nature. Finding home in our souls & bodies. Finding home geographically. Finding our place in the societies and communities we share, but also tearing systems down. "
