For #72 we welcome Bleep.com, one of the foremost record stores of the virtual world, to come and show us what they listen to at home. The line-up they've put together pays some serious homage to the sound that made them in the first place, being the sister company of Warp records and all. It's obvious they know how to put together a soiree to remember.
So first on the bill is Rustie, who just put out an incredible album that we were all eagerly awaiting. Don't know if you heard it (of course you heard it though), but it lived up to pretty much all of our ridiculous expectations. I mean, it didn't come with a white tiger or a white jeep, which is what we all truly want from life - but it was close enough. He'll break the Boiler Room into tiny bits and then reconstruct it into something far greater, just you wait and see!
Theeeen, we got Ikonika playing one her most excellent DJ sets. She's a really, really, really good DJ. So expect to hear what on earth she's been up to in recent months, all very nicely structured and blended in a tasty little bundle.
Ok, so it's high time we had Funkineven in the house again right? It's been the year where his releases have filled in all the right nostalgic blind spots amongst record store shelves, and if you've been catching his sets you'll know he goes fairly seriously when it comes to those doper than dope items. Oh, and he just started up his own label called Apron. Can't wait.
As if this line-up couldn't possibly get much tastier, new found wonder-dude patten will be playing live for y'all. If you haven't been told by everyone to listen to his debut album then get some new friends. His live shows are awesome too, so ensure you're at home by 8pm to see why i'm trying to pursued you so hard.
Bleep DJs will also be in effect on the night, with DJ Rags setting the vibes like only he knows how!
