It’s a Far East Recording special tonight as Shinichiro Yokota joins Omodaka for a celebration of nostalgia-tinged Japanese house, videogame-inflected beats, and plenty more in-between. Mysterious masked man Omodaka will be topping the bill with a live set that incorporates everything from improv chip-tune noodling on a Nintendo DS through to impeccably synced multi-panel visuals, while Yokota, best known for his collaborations with label boss Soichi Terada on early ‘90s house anthems like “Tokyo XXX” and “Got To Be Real”, will be channeling the joie de vivre of bubble era-Japan with his club set. Appearing alongside the two is veteran selector Moodman, resident DJ at one of Tokyo’s most respected regular events, “House of Liquid”.
