Near the turn of the 1990s, a DJ from Curacao dropped a dancehall track at the wrong speed at Den Haag's Club Voltage––but decided to let it play out. Bubbling House was born. Over the next three decades, it became one of the most crucial contours of Holland's Afro-diasporic club landscape.
