Collective TV: Moonshine, Maricas, Directions Radio, Brutaz

25 Feb 2021, 16:00 - 23:00 UTC

We're building on our grant scheme with Ballantine’s ––in which 20 collectives were awarded financial support at the start of the pandemic–– with the launch of COLLECTIVE TV. A mix of 2020 grant recipients & a selection of new collectives will present audio-visual shows, combining talks, interviews, mixes and music videos. The first four:

Moonshine have gathered some of their core crew for a unique broadcast from the crumbling ramparts of Kinshasa. Your hosts Pierre Kwenders and San Farina intoruce us to local talents DJ P2N, poet Yas Ilunga, Kingogolo Kiniata and AKantu.

Maricas will be building a 360 environment for their show to take place - including a waiting room to display their visua identity, a virtual B2B between ISAbella, OR:LA, Ariel Zentina & Josh Caffe as well as performances by Kai Landre and cyborg manifesto.

Following the life cycle of Club Chai, 8ULENTINA & Lara Sarkissian introduce their new project Directions Radio. They'll both be playing sets to demonstrate where they're going sonically, as well as inviting Bastiengoat to showcase some productions. Lucia Kagramanyan joins on hosting duties.

Brutaz set about showcasing their local community's talents with DJ sets from Jsa and Beniovska, as well as series of vogeuing, burlesque and avant-garde performances from Warsaw's queer scene.

Supported by Ballantine’s True Music, who stands with and supports music communities and cultures around the world.
