We move into the sixth session of Concrete Lates, a collaborative event series from Boiler Room and Southbank Centre, with a special EFG London Jazz Festival edition, connecting the dots between club culture and contemporary jazz.

The mercurial talent of Theon Cross is brought into sharp focus, bringing a distinctive, swaggering approach to playing the tuba alongside a full live band. His high-energy style prismatically reflects London’s vast musical underground, brushing on grime, dub, soca, and other sounds from the Afro-Carribean diaspora.

Joining Cross on the night are two highly acclaimed DJs with jazz running through their veins; the legendary DJ Spinna (producer for Eminem, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch and De La Soul...) and Brilliant Corners and NTS Radio resident, Donna Leake.
