Dekmantel Festival 2017: Sunday
It wouldn't be right for our Dekmantel Festival stage to not go out with a bang. Previous years have seen awe-inspiring BR sets from DJ Nobu, Marcel Dettmann, Truss and more: the rippers always come out to play. Yet 2017 might be, pound-for-pound, the best Sunday evening yet.
Helena Hauff. Helena Hauff! We have been chasing Helena for so long, we thought it was a lost cause, but she will guide the spaceship down on Sunday with a huge bang, and we couldn't be more excited.
Blawan is not even headlining our stage, that is how bloody good you're getting it. Coupled with the return of Detroit vet DJ Bone, who is flying into Amsterdam solely for our stage at Dekmantel, you have two hours of insanely fast and furious techno as the sun goes down on Sunday.
This isn't to discount some of the finest talents in the game setting pace before the final onslaught. Shanti Celeste is in the form of her life, and we look forward to having her out with us in Amsterdam, following up from two and a half men: Cinnaman, and Bufiman (aka Jan Schulte / Wolf Müller).
And all this after a favourite slot of ours: first on Sunday, i.e. the hangover cure. Esa, the man behind Huntley + Palmers' HIGHLIFE series, 1/2 of Auntie Flo, and even an episode of our Collections with DJ Okapi, will be getting you ready for gold all through the day. Praise be.
