From The Counter: in Paris at DDD Records

For this fourth installment of our From The Counter series, we pay a visit to DDD Records in Paris, France.

DDD Records, both a record store and a label, has known several incarnations over the years with founder Xavier aka The Hustler selling records in different parts of town, including 4 years as part of notorious shop La Source.
The store is in a narrow space but with a wide selection of music between hand-picked new releases and a large selection of second hand wax in a relaxed atmosphere.

For this one, we'll have a special set from none other than Ron Morelli of LIES Records.
As head of the vital L.I.E.S. label, and as a DJ and a producer, he has, in his own words, “unintentionally” shaken things up with a forward thinking sonic aesthetic which evolved from a tight knit group in his local NYC scene. Now globally recognized (and often imitated) Morelli is known as the centerpiece of this new wave, continuing to confound expectation with each new move, always with the goal of evolving in one form or another.

DDD's own The Hustler will play the first hour, and a circle of regulars and local activists will play us off with a b2b set in the last hour.
