Lee Bannon is a favourite of ours: for his enigmatic qualities; for his pitch-black sense of humour; and most importantly, for his ability to seamlessly shift between out-there beats, splintered jungle, dark ambient and all the rest. Dude is a seriously versatile producer: check new Ninja Tune LP Pattern of Excel for proof. Given his searing Upfront mix earlier in the year, once we knew he'd be in our neck of the woods, we leapt at the opportunity to have him feature in the flesh.
Speaking of (dumb) flesh: the equally gifted Blanck Mass is down all the way from Edinburgh for the ride. So too is fast-rising beatsmith Coby Sey, who you may not know now, but you no doubt will soon.
We're putting the trio in a tiny basement for a mid-week session, and throwing in warped visuals to match. It's going to get weird – and, obviously, wonderful.
