Present Perfect Festival 2019

We’re returning to Present Perfect festival for our fourth collaboration –– & this year's a little different. On a fresh new yard stage in the open air, our focus deviates a little from the bang bang doof doof of yesteryear. This time, the program is built around the hypnotic & the weird –– the artists & selectors who exist on the fringes of electronic music but just as easily intersect with post-punk, psychedelia & progressive rock.

Live performance plays a heavy element this year too. Opening is locally-adored experimentalist Chikiss, a live performer who can play on everything from a Casio to conductive jelly. Later, we've invited live eccentrics Yo Tosiba to debut on BR–– the wild duo comprised of Norwegian-Azerbaijani Zuzu Zakaria & Finnish skweee pioneer Tatu Metsätähti aka Mesak.

After we've got the pleasure of local hero Kito Jempere with band & the welcome return of firm BR fave & wax wizard, Intergalactic Gary–– an ever-brilliant master who sits on three decades of experience & one of finest record collections in Holland. And to top it all out, who better to enlist than dance music's very own rock & roll mega-duo themselves, Red Axes? A nailed on fable in the making, for sure.
