Rizwan-Muazzam Group are the nephews of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the best known singer of Qawwali music.
A form of worship in Sufism, the mystical branch of Islam, Qawwali music is an act of devotion in which hypnotic repetition induces a state of ecstasy. Backed by traditional instruments like harmonium and tabla, the brothers’s rich voices soar, pushed onwards by pulsing music and rhythmic hand claps.
