Shlohmo & Purple

Shlohmo's new work sees Los Angeles based artist Henry Laufer traveling a path of self intuition, perhaps moreso than his previous releases. Upon first listen the tracks may seem disparate in style, travelling from progressive to drum'n'bass over languid ambience, but the more one dives in, the more coherent it gets. “It sounds like if Electric Wizard tried to make an R&B record,” Shlohmo says, “or Boards of Canada meets Burzum by the River Styx.”

For his new tour, he's formed a three piece live ensemble, which we are proud to present live on Boiler Room this Thursday.
