Expecting an exquisitely-dressed crowd and possibly the biggest hype from the series as we open up our SYSTEM: Installation at Somerset House Studio to Bbz London.
Since their debut exhibition/party, BBZ have been remoulding what queer nights look like on London’s club scene. From recreating a Caribbean living room at gal-dem.com’s V&A takeover, to setting up a queer Valentine’s pottery class for loved ones to re-enact that scene from Ghost, to teaming up with the Peckham-based Balamii Radio and South London’s most-loved chicken shop branch Morley’s for a party, BBZ’s creative collaborations are as diverse as their audiences.
Boiler Room has partnered with Gaika for this installation. GAIKA is a multidisciplinary artist who crosses genres and platforms to create compelling experiences with music and performance at the centre. Trained as an engineer and then as a visual artist, he worked as a successful graphic designer and filmmaker before rising to notoriety through a series of critically acclaimed musical releases, shows, installations and writings.
