True Music: Hybrid Sounds Moscow

Boiler Room and Ballantine’s True Music returns for a third installment, continuing in its mission to create new and exciting music with innovative artists.
Following the first two series’ with Maya Jane Coles and Seth Troxler, True Music: Hybrid Sounds will take things one step further. With some of the most engaging live electronic acts in the world, we’ll travel to Moscow, Sao Paulo, Beirut and Valencia, on a journey that will explore the links between acoustic and electronic music, uncovering what can occur when these two distinct styles collide.
With each of the four cities we visit, the artists will collaborate on new original material for our next True Music EP — a record that catalogues the exciting sounds captured throughout this project. First up is Moscow, where live duo Overmono will be working with a Russian musician to create the first track - more on this very soon.
We’re kicking the events off in style with a stellar line up that brings together DJ sets and live performances from some a cross-section of internationally and locally renowned artists. Two generations of DJs come together, as Detroit hero Derrick May heads up the bill with support from Irish sensation Or:la. Bringing the live element to life in Moscow is UK duo Overmono, as well as Russia’s very own PTU and Pavel Dodonov.
