We’re back in Nairobi for the 2022 edition of Boiler Room x Ballantine’s True Music Studios. Gaining international traction for its homegrown Gengetone talent - a genre with roots in Kenyan genge-rap, dancehall and reggaeton - Nairobi is one of the most exciting local scenes to have emerged in recent years. Hosted by Sheila Kwambox, this year’s lineup, curated by Drill pioneers Buruklyn Boyz, features the most exciting names from the Kenyan capital’s Rap and emerging Drill scene. From some of Nairobi’s most exciting and talented artists including Dyana Cods, Silverstone Barz and DJ Iche and a high octane set from Shrap/Afrobeats/Amapiano master Deejay Otiz, this one is not to be missed.
