London: United Vibrations

16 Mar 2017, 19:00 - 20:00 GMT

In solidarity with borderless artistic expression, we're streaming a live performance from South London jazz pros, United Vibrations from 7pm GMT tonight.

The South Londoners were due to perform at this year's SXSW festival but along with Yussef Kamaal, had their ESTA request revoked for reasons unknown.

South London’s United Vibrations create astral-facing productions that feel as though they ascend into the highest realms. Influenced by funk, afrobeat, and electronica, the four-piece tread the tightrope between Fela Kuti and Sun Ra, and use the profits from their releases to support an initiative to build sustainable eco-homes in their south London borough. Their output is full of good energy and positive messages for the world: calling for unity on “Grow,” providing solace on “Don’t Be Sad,” and simply sharing love with “Far Far Away II.”

From an East London studio space, Boiler Room will broadcast to the US and across the world using the might of their international output for good. This is tangible proof that borders and walls are barriers that can be overcome in the digital age.
