Since its fruition in 2000, Trunkfunk Records has been a key component in Sweden’s nightlife, providing its Nordic roots with an electronic music culture to call its own. Homegrown newcomer duo Subdued Kamel make their Trunkfunk debut, with their forthcoming Kristall Kamel EP. The second track, “Huspus Kamel”, is our pick of the bunch – a polished cut of subterranean house embellished by sweeping pads, sampled live percussion and layers of synths bubbling underneath.
