The Nightjar “Flowers on Bare Wood”

When the people endorsing your first release range from Turbo Recordings’s Thomas Von Party to the Late Junction team on BBC Radio 3, you know you’re on to something. Alice Kirby and Pete Thomas have been operating around the hinterlands of UK folk and experimental music for a while now, but it was when Pete and southeast London electronicist Kams mixed their latest songs down with exquisite digital soundscaping that The Nightjar coalesced. Now expanded to a vocal trio with the addition of Sarah Ricketts, their live shows have been steadily adding to their reputation and their recordings are ghostly, psychedelic and utterly addictive.
