About this mix

We always thought we wanted to keep our live sets exclusive to their original habitat — clubs, festivals and parties — but the confidence we gathered through touring and the production of our album has changed this. Instead of trying to make something slightly more soothing or artsy for a podcast, we stuck to what worked in the shows we played this year and used the same setup to present a one-hour extract of music you could expect to hear at one of our shows.

We hope you enjoy this as much as we did playing it out.

Individual powerhouses of production, Avatism and Clockwork have become one of the most exciting duos on dance music's current circuit. The turn of a new month brings the warmly welcomed news of their debut album as CW/A, Words Unspoken, Acts Undone.

In the lead-up to its release on Parachute Records, the guys have come forth with a celebratory Upfront of LP exclusives. Following in the album's footsteps, the mix travels through the spectrum of electronic sounds, spanning comprehensively from techno's meditative slowburner to the bass-orientated peaktime track, and back again. Additional nods to Kero - the name behind all of Parachute's artwork - for the special curation on this Upfront mix.

Words Unspoken, Acts Undone is due out (physi + digi) on 16th October.
