For the first of two legs in Detroit – and third of our Chicago vs Detroit trip overall – we're having a daytime session featuring some of the finest local talent from outside the old school of house and techno, all taking place in a loft space overlooking the Motor City.
Matthew Hawtin will be setting the tone right with his trademark artful ambience, leading into two extremely rare hometown performances from the elusive Detroit Grand Pubahs and soul/funk polymath Amp Fiddler. The latter sent J Dilla on his way, which bestows legendary status in its own right.
Rounding off proceedings will be the rabble rousing Golf Clap guys, and Omar S's right-hand man OB Ignitt – whose first ever set on European soil just so happened to be at a Boiler Room in London – pairing up with FXHE youngblood John F.M for another BR-aided first.
