This instalment of In Stereo is a true break from the norm: two hours of spiritual Moroccan music known as Gnawa, recorded in the heart of Marrakech. It is perhaps the highest-quality document of Gnawa music that has been captured in its 150+ year history. Two Maâlems - first Mohamed Kouyou, then Mahmoud Guinia - play with their bands. James Holden, Floating Points, Vessel and Biosphere assisted on live audio mixing.
