Even though any artist, genre or scene is just a click away these days, its very likely that you don’t know much about the Siberian music scene. Despite the great geographic distances to the Russian capitol and to Europe, a highly creative electronic music, improvisation, and club music scene has developed there over the past years. Some of it got international recognition recently but there’s plenty to be yet discovered by international audiences. Therefore we’re venturing to the city of Krasnoyarsk to have a closer look at some of Siberia’s most interesting artists, in collaboration with the Goethe Institut Novosibirsk and Berlin’s CTM Festival. We’re bringing along Rabih Beani (until recently known as Morphosis) to show that Krasnoyarsk is more than just a stop along the Trans-Siberian Railway, but slowly becoming part of a network of artist operating across geographic and political borders.
If you happen to be in Krasnoyarsk that day, you can RSVP for the event.
