Shelby Grey’s noteworthy summer started with his Boiler Room performance at Primavera Sound, a set that started with ‘Glow in the Jungle’ – a chop from this new EP, saturated with dark undulating wild bird-sounds. The response, from both public and crew, was enough to indicate the hypnotic power of his new EP’s darkest cuts. Back when he was creating these tracks, Shelby wanted to transmit the same notions that cohere his DJ sets: connecting diverse genres through melody; telling stories with multiple junctures.
