Duke Hugh “Green Leaf”

Rhythm Section‘s next offering may just be one of their best. Duke Hugh‘s Canvas is an album drenched in hip-shaking grooves; nine tracks that gracefully saunter between broken beat, dreamy electronica and the jazzier sides of hip hop.

At its best, you have “Green Leaf”; a track that listeners will doubly appreciate once they hear the project in full. Of course, it’s beautiful in its own right though; a light and airy, Latin American guitar-tinged slow-burner that grapples with “Loft Nights” and “Believe” for best track. As track 002 on the project, it’s also a key trendsetter for an album that’s just as comfortable at the start of a dance as it is accompanying Sunday sofa action.

See it as a taster for our much anticipated Rhythm Section Takeover, which takes place down under (more specifically, Melbourne) on November 25. Pre-order the album here too.
