After numerous excursions as the three-piece analog outfit Premiesku, Romanian house crusaders Livio & Roby are back to their old ways. Despite it being several months since their last release as a duo, numerous sonic parallels can be drawn between their new Delta Reshape EP and the music they’ve been making as Premiesku. To start off with, the boys now fully embrace modular synthesis in their studio workflow – with new Buchla and Eurack systems, if that’s what you’re into. All four Reshapes on their forthcoming Vakant release – Singular, Tidal, Modal and (our pick) Electricity – sees the guys adopt a weirder, more leftfield exploration of sounds and textures. An exciting comeback to whet our appetites for a heavyweight collaborative LP project they’ve got coming this summer, so we hear. Stay tuned…
