As part of our ongoing Aus Music Debut series, we’re thrilled to present “Decompression Suite” – a riveting piece from longstanding Aus Music comrade Harry Aguis (aka Midland). A name that needs little introduction, Midland is known for propelling varied, interesting sounds out into the electronic music field; and has helped fuel the V12 engine that is Aus Music with releases such as “What We Know” and “Reflex”.

Still revelling in last summer’s glory of “Blush“, Midland’s newest track serves as a medley of musical layers. Heavily textural, echoes of panning high-hat hits lay amidst quivering bass tones to provide the foundations of the piece, which is then uplifted by ethereal sweeping synths. The track reaches new heights with the injection of a gripping bass line. All develop and manifest into a truly immersive whole, which slowly evaporates as gradually and neatly as its initial growth.
