In his forthcoming Stead Fast EP, a man of multiple masteries, Tallmen 785 flaunts an authentic style of fluid New York jazz technique combined with his migrative musical idiom of Berlin techno.

Despite ending up in the pitfalls of dance music cliché so frequently, this fusion of sounds is executed subtly by Tallmen. Exemplified by the release’s opener, “Frog Maschine”, he successfully blends melodic virtuosity, syncopated rhythms and blue-tinted chords with a relentless pounding delirium at soundsystem-only frequencies. 20+ years of true craftsmanship across the musical board proves Tallmen’s worth in a cultural climate as everchanging as Berlin’s.
