Give Him The Rod Already

In case you weren’t are, Hessle Audio are dropping a compilation of the hottest stuff around real soon – backed with some of the most certified classics in recent years (because they put them out, and it’s time you heard them all over again).

Well, on the side with all the fresh goodness, is this re-imagining of ‘Give A Man A Rod’ by dearest James. Guessing he really wants to drill home that whole “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, but give a man a rod and he’ll eat for the rest of his life” idea. Although I always kind of thought that idea overlooks the rising prices of fishing equipment, and how the guy will probably end up in massive amounts of debt. Plus, fishing is traditionally seen as a way of fathers avoiding their kids, and the parental responsibilities that go long with them.

This version shows that James can still present you with stuff to floor the dance – and is a pretty big testament to how high the quality level is throughout the comp. They’re also throwing a party at XOYO tomorrow night. For a chance to win one of three pairs of tickets we’re going, head over to our facebook and show some love.
