Rabit and his Halcyon Veil imprint are surging through a purple patch right now. After two quality releases in Myth’s icy grime throwbacks and Angel-Ho’s cache of headspinners, the label comes up trumps a third time with Danish youngblood Why Be‘s roiling SNIPESTREET.

“Deeq” is the nasty highlight; anchored by a warped bounce, he piles atop all manner of scuttling effects and a few cries from the deep thrown for good measure. The track is indicative of SNIPESTREET as a whole: frenetic, distressing, club-ready but bizarre enough to make it a bold choice for those that give ’em a go at peak time.
