The yearlong hiatus is finally up. Ghost Culture is back, taking no prisoners whatsoever with this new double A-side release on Erol Alkan‘s Phantasy Sound. The acid flavour of the EP opener “Safe” sees Ghost Culture turning classic club sounds to a darker tone of house and techno. Still ‘unashamedly club-rooted’, the track sees progressions through different landscapes of dance music history – all painted within Phantasy’s rubric of steady tension and euphoric release throughout.
