Zaf’s record collection reads like an autobiography. A personal account of years spent behind the counter of Reckless Records, being a record dealer and running the Zaf Music site, trips to Chicago around the emergence of house music, putting together compilations for BBE and Kindred Spirits and right up to the present day and his latest venture Love Vinyl.

We were lucky enough to gain entrance to his ‘disco shack’, and even met his dog the infamous ‘Disco Douglas’, where he gave us an insight into the records that have informed his taste and the friendships he’s made along the way. Prepare yourselves for a lecture on all things soulful and disco-related from a true master.

Before tomorrow’s broadcast, here’s first peeks at Zaf’s spot, a London-home to a galaxy of rare disco and funk.

Zaf’s disco & boogie 12″s are all catalogued in year order. Makes it easier to locate according to the sound of the year apparently!

Zaf’s set up includes Urei LE Mixer, E&S Isolator, Pioneer 500 EFX, Sugden A21SE Amplifier, Klipsch Forte II Upstanding Speakers.
