Nick Höppner “Pneuma”

The next instalment of our Aus Music Debut series comes in the form of “Pneuma”; a tranquil piece produced by Ostgut Ton label boss Nick Höppner who joins Aus Music’s ranks to celebrate their ten-year anniversary.

The monthly Panorama Bar & Berghain resident has previously released on the London-based label, collaborating with studio compadré Lee Jones under their joint My My alias. “Pneuma” will be Höppner’s first solo venture on Will Saul’s imprint, cementing a complete partnership after blowing away all those tuned in for the Boiler Room Aus Music takeover earlier this month.

“Pneuma” itself is a progressive electronic piece, built up with a variety of subtle, soothing sounds. Twinkling filtered melodies lay over steady hi-hats and bell chimes; later complemented by stretched out synths. All are entwined together to create those wavy vibes heavy in nuances, perfect for twilight dancefloor moments.

Available on July 8th as part of the Aus100 Compilation, be sure to check out the Aus100 page to pre-order and get your mitts on some giveaway goodies.
