London-based label Tiff’s Joints gears up for its first release with two Afro-Brazilian heaters straight from the source. The A-side, “Batuki”, is a bottom-heavy roller from Sao Paolo’s Oribata (DJ Tahira & Fernando TRZ) with heaps of indigenous percussion, painfully funky chords peppered with some primal grunting. Already clocking support from household names like Laurent Garnier, “Batuki” is forecast to infect numerous dancefloors and airwaves alike.
