Sepalcure Talk About Their Album
BR: I’ve never made an album, though I can imagine it feels great to have completed a body of work like that. How has it changed your day-to-day persona?
“It hasn’t really. We’ve both released albums under different projects (Machinedrum, TStewart, Syndrone, Praveen, Praveen & Benoît) in the past. If anything, the fact that we were able to write the album in 2 weeks has definitely proven to us that we have something special going on musically and should keep it up!”
BR: So you do stuff under lots of different names. Does each different name hold it’s own emotional attachment, and do you get obsessive about the categorising them?
Praveen – “I definitely try and keep projects separate. I think it helps bring a sense of cohesion to releases.”
Travis – “Sometimes I use new names to avoid previous expectations”
BR: What’s the most frustrating label someone has ever put on your music, and why did it anger you so?
“Lovestep It was meant as a joke and we’ve mentioned that many times yet for some reason we keep seeing it pop up on PR material. Guess that one’s our own fault.”
BR: What kind of awards would you like to see your album win?
“Awards? We just hope some people enjoy it and it brightens up their day a bit.”
BR: How do you get down in the club? Are you poppin bottles? Or are you the more heads down kinda dudes?
Praveen – “I get down with some indorican moves. Dunno about poppin bottles but I always trying to have a good time. Depends on the music you’re hearing though, doesn’t it?”
Travis – “Always poppin bottles.”
BR: What did you get Paul for his last Birthday?
“We gave him our album!”
