Shriekin is set to release a new EP via UK grime-outpost Local Action: a four-tracker of hyper-melodic grime, supercharged with metallic chimes and boisterous low-ends. He’s found a home at London-based instrumental grime night Boxed, where his tracks are being richly advocated by the likes of Slackk, Murlo and Spooky. This cut ‘Cats Eyes’, is the EP’s ceremonious opener: a string-led panorama that lends ever-more authenticity to grime’s potential as cinematic music that can exist beyond the club.
